The lapVent exhaust vent is a quickly installed unit to exhaust extracted air from bathrooms and ensuites.

lapVent offers the DIYer a simple installation and construction trades an efficient and quick solution for their customers. The vent fits in the felt/roofing membrane overlap. There is virtually no disruption, in fact no external work whatsoever when using lapVent, so nothing shows, no unsightly roof vents or risk of breaking tiles.

Cost effective: There is no need to cut core holes through the wall which can require specialist equipment, scaffolding and is time consuming, costly and dusty. Extractors can be easily vented via the loft space. The extracted air is expelled through the body of the vent to atmosphere via the roof batten cavity. The vent has a unique sloping outlet to help prevent condensation from dripping back into the system. Insects and pests are denied access through the vent by means of a mesh. The non-load-bearing lightweight body of lapVent is shaped to form a weatherproof, unexposed, controlled airway that safely interconnects inside roof voids with atmosphere. Six ramped traps prevent any entry of storm driven rain and snow.

Fitting requirements: A minimum gap of 315mm is required between rafters and the roof felt needs to be in good tight condition to prevent blowback. Tools required: Utility knife to cut the felt, cross-headed screw driver. Appropriate PPE should be used as assessed.
